It’s so true…

The way I see it, Opera is the Internet’s Swiss Army knife. It even has a beer can opener for those late night programming runs. On the other hand, I see Firefox as the trusty, centuries old katana. The blade is sharp and tapered thin, and is used for naught but one thing. [bluism.com]

And IE is a butter knife ;-)

My unwatched DVD pile

Just got down to 100! This sounds like a lot (alright – it is a lot) but it was pushing 200 a couple of months ago, and I have been buying more since then.

Jumanji [imdb.com] – just how cute was Kirsten Dunst?

24: Season 3

Got this yesterday – and I’m nearly half-way through watching it. Even better than seasons 1 and 2. Lot’s of twists and turns in the plot which make for excellent viewing!

Christopher Walken DVD day

I watched 2 movies today both featuring Christopher Walken. This wasn’t intentional, but sometimes strange things happen.

Film 1 was The Rundown[imdb.com] (aka ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ in the rest of the world). For some reason this movie never received much publicity in the UK, and apparently poor publicity in the States, although it did garner good reviews. I would like to add my name to those who enjoyed the film. It’s an excellent ‘Indiana-Jones lite’ that shows that both The Rock (wrestler) and Seann William Scott (American Pies’ Stifler) can both act (really)!

Film 2 was Man on Fire[imdb.com]. This film isn’t out on R1 DVD until Sep 14, and not even in the UK cinemas until October 8, so you probably haven’t heard of this one either. My copy of the DVD arrived 6 weeks early at my favourite R1 retailer, explaining my early viewing. It’s a Denzel Washington film where he gets to show his evil side. If you liked Training Day you should check this out when you get a chance.
