- Doug does not 'do' sport, due to mental anguish suffered during P.E. lessons
at school. Having said that, Doug does support Arsenal FC

- Doug's belief in God matches his belief in the tooth fairy. Doug has only
ever read one book that explained 'Life, the Universe and everything' in
a manner that he could begin to accept - that book was 'The Hitchhiker's
Guide to the Galaxy'.
